Acid Slurry (LABSA) Functions & Applications

Acid Slurry, identified here as linear alkylbenzene sulfonic acid, is an anionic surfactant intermediate for detergent and cleaning-product manufacture. It is used to develop household, institutional and industrial cleaning systems. The acidic raw material must be distinguished from an already neutralized alkylbenzene sulfonate solution: their delivered composition and processing requirements are different. Neutralized commercial sulfonates are documented for wetting, foaming and emulsification, but their use conditions cannot simply be applied to the acid slurry. Reveda's listing does not specify active acid content or residual sulfuric acid. Resolve those measurements and the alkyl-chain profile before developing the process. Neither a particular active percentage nor a comparator's antimicrobial registration is established for this material.
