AEROSIL 200 Functions & Applications

For a confirmed AEROSIL 200 supply, the relevant functions are those of a hydrophilic fumed silica: rheology control in liquid systems and improvement of flow in powders. Evonik identifies thickening, anti-settling and anti-sag applications in coatings, printing inks, adhesives, sealants and resin systems. These roles concern the structure and handling of a formulation rather than a universal thickening result at a fixed addition rate. Fumed silica should not be treated as interchangeable with a precipitated silica solely because both are silicon dioxide. Reveda's named listing requires manufacturer traceability before it can be qualified as this commercial grade. Establish dispersion and final rheology in the intended binder without assuming published typical values are a supply specification.
