Cutina PES Functions & Applications

Cutina PES is a consistency-building ingredient identified by its manufacturer as pentaerythrityl distearate. It is used to develop body and sensory character in cosmetic oil-in-water formulations, making it relevant when a cream needs more structure without relying solely on a water-phase thickener. The manufacturer describes a wax-like pellet form, which calls for incorporation appropriate to the selected heated process. Its role is to modify consistency and application feel within an emulsified system; it does not by itself define the complete emulsifier package. Evaluate the cooling profile, final texture and stability with the chosen oils and surfactants. Manufacturer formulation examples also demonstrate its use in a cleansing-butter development context.
