Geogard Ultra Functions & Applications

Geogard Ultra is a preservative system associated with gluconolactone and sodium benzoate for personal-care formulation. It is relevant to the preservation of water-containing products such as creams, lotions, shampoos and conditioners. Its role is protection of the formulation against microbial deterioration, with effectiveness depending on the finished product's composition and processing conditions. A developer should consider pH, compatibility and the complete preservation strategy, then verify the selected system through appropriate efficacy testing. The trade name does not establish that every formula will be adequately protected or that a particular product has passed testing. The offered material's identity still requires confirmation, and no certification, dosage or unrestricted use permission is claimed.
