Salicylic Acid 99% Functions & Applications

Salicylic acid is used in skin-care development for its keratolytic and exfoliating functions. Manufacturer personal-care documentation places it in formulations where removal of accumulated surface cells and management of an oily-feeling complexion are relevant product objectives. Its action differs from that of an emollient or humectant, so it is selected as an active component within a complete skin-care base. The 99% designation refers to the listed raw material, not a finished-product use level, and requires confirmation against the assay method. Incorporation, pH and the other solvents influence how the ingredient is presented in a formula. Product category, tolerability and destination-market conditions must be assessed before adopting a particular application.
