Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate (SLES) 70% Functions & Applications

Sodium lauryl ether sulfate 70% is a concentrated anionic surfactant format used to supply cleansing activity with relatively little added water. Manufacturer guidance identifies shampoos, shower gels, foam baths, liquid dishwashing products and technical cleaners as applications of concentrated ether-sulfate grades. Its concentration is particularly relevant when producing a high-active base or controlling the water introduced through raw materials. Dilution can pass through thick gel structures, so mixing sequence and water addition are practical processing considerations. The 70% designation should be confirmed by the supplied active-matter specification. It differs from the 28% listing in formulation balance and handling, without implying that one grade automatically delivers superior finished-product cleansing.
