Sorbitol 70% Liquid Functions & Applications

Sorbitol 70% Liquid provides a liquid humectant format for products requiring moisture retention. In skin, hair and toiletry formulations, sorbitol contributes water-binding properties and can be incorporated through the aqueous portion of the formula. Its dissolved presentation is useful when the manufacturing process favours dosing a liquid rather than dissolving a dry polyol. The concentration designation is significant: the supplied liquid contributes both dissolved material and water, so formulation calculations should use the confirmed assay basis. Liquid sorbitol grades can differ in crystallization behaviour and accompanying sugars, which may affect clarity and storage stability. Evaluate the actual grade for the intended texture, transparency and compatibility rather than transferring the properties of a named supplier's specialized syrup.
