Vitamin E Acetate 98% Functions & Applications

Vitamin E acetate is an oil-compatible vitamin E derivative used in cosmetic skin and hair preparations. In emulsions it is incorporated with a suitable oil phase or delivery system, allowing development of facial creams, body lotions and conditioning products containing tocopheryl acetate. Its esterified chemical form distinguishes it from free tocopherol, so the two ingredients should not be exchanged solely on a vitamin E name. The 98% listing also needs to remain separate from diluted vitamin E preparations: assay and carrier composition affect how much active material enters the formula. Formulators should establish the exact identity and composition from the supplier's analytical documentation, then assess incorporation and stability in the intended product base.
