Sodium Propyl Paraben(SPP)

Sodium Propyl Paraben Functions & Applications

Sodium propylparaben provides a salt-form paraben option for preserving compatible cosmetic and toiletry bases. Its documented water solubility can be useful when the manufacturing process favours addition through the aqueous portion of the formula. Preservation still depends on the complete product, including pH, ingredients and the microbial challenge that must be controlled. A raw-material name cannot establish an adequate finished-product preservation programme. This listing shares its chemical name with Sodium Propyl Paraben (SPP), so a different code should not be interpreted as evidence of different antimicrobial performance. Resolve any supplied-grade difference through technical documentation, then assess the preservative combination, product category and destination-market requirements before use.
